NCAA Championship Game LSU vs. Clemson

It was a long shot for Clemson to come back from a 17 pt deficit but the refs made sure they wouldn’t by taking away that TD

I've seen uproar over this call all over boards and twitter, and to me it seemed blatantly obvious that it was offensive PI. I seem to be in a pretty small minority though. I realize they were both grabbing the other, but if the defensive player had grabbed the offensive player's shoulder pad, slung him off of him, and intercepted the ball, not a soul would argue it wasn't defensive PI.

Just seems to me like everybody is conditioned to expect the defensive PI to be called, and ignore all but the most blatant of offensive PI. LSU got away with a pretty obvious offensive PI on their first long TD of the game, and it wasn't even mentioned by the announcers and I barely saw any chatter about it online.

I actually forgot about the game yesterday. I can’t remember such little hype leading up to it.

I also thought it was the right call.

I felt it was the correct call, also. However, I also felt that their approach to calling PI seemed rather inconsistent. It appeared to me that the officials were letting most anything go in the first half and then appeared to be more willing to throw the flags in the second half.

I thought the same also. Both teams got away with a pretty obvious defensive PI on the first two possessions of the game.

The world needs to get a handle and a definition of what is PI because both nfl and college is ridiculous on this so inconsistent.

Sooo Odell was handing out cash and they be selling their stuff. LSU initially comes back saying the cash was counterfeit to which Joe Burrow now says it was real cash. Hope LSU enjoyed their win because it might be the last bowl game they get to attend for a while.

Here is a video with some highlights of cash changing hands

*Video may have some language but then again LSU is involved...

Case and point...

Are you kidding me.... I would have tazed him right there. Pretty amazing restraint by that officer.

It’s amateur hour over at LSU. Like, what?

LSU. Come on now. In the running for best ever college football team having had the best season ever...They are managing to make this a clown enterprise like I’ve never seen.
