Supposedly a third year meteorology student reported seeing well-constructed homes leveld to their foundations... obviously there's no other verification for this, but if it did occur hopefully we'll get some photos later tonight or tomorrow.
Generally not great when you have a flash flood emergency with a warning population of over 9,000,000. Rainfall rates pushing 5" an hour. Really bad situation.
Wouldn’t it be ironic when all set and done if there are more fatalities in the Northeast from Ida than in Louisiana? That is what it’s looking like right now.
