So, Wikipedia has this claim that a "hypercane" could be continent-sized, but I've looked at the original paper by Kerry Emmanuel and he doesn't mention anything of the sort in it. In fact I've heard a couple of other claims that a "hypercane", if it occurred at all, would probably be physically smaller than most run of the mill hurricanes. Anyone else have more information on this?
