Severe Weather 12/29/19

Since we now have a tornado watch, I thought I’d start a thread.

Any atmospheric work over from the rains and storms in Alabama ahead of the front?

Tornado warning including Kosciusko. My dad's sister lives there.

Maybe a brief CC drop but it only lasted one scan so it's hard to tell if it's anything there or just junk on the radar. The velocity signature wasn't impressive at all.

Cells appear to be intensifying in E Miss. as they head towards the Alabama state line. Multiple semi-discrete cells now with increasing dbz intensity. They are not showing signs of rotation at this time.

Edit: Of course a Tor Warning was issued about the time I said that.

Is it me or does that Winston-Noxubee-Kemper-Neshoba four-county area of east-central MS get hit a lot? Seems every Dixie setup large or small, somewhere in there ends up under the gun.

It's not just you. I'm sure there's a graphic or chart that shows confirmed tornados or tornado warnings by year at the county level out there somewhere.
