I usually go into severe weather hibernation for the summer, but I realized how ACTIVE Russia has been and thought I would share.

I don’t know of any earthquake swarms where so many M6 quakes occurred.

If they weren’t in Dixie then I tend to not pay attention lol

My area had a TOR the first weekend in April. The tornado touched down about a half mile from my home. I was juuuust in the inside of the polygon.

The USGS seems to have settled on 7.4 for the magnitude of this recent quake that presumably is a large aftershock. PTWC initially issued tsunami warnings but soon canceled them.
