A massive earthquake of magnitude of 8.7 has struck off the coast of Kamchatka, Russia. A tsunami watch is in effect for Hawaii and a warning in effect for the western Aleutian Islands. I have seen reports of damage in Petropovlosk.

Pretty substantial tsunami surge on Kamchatka from various videos, nearer the quake so going to be worse there but definitely a rather decent tsunami. Now the tension becomes, how will that translate elsewhere?
