Man killed by direct lightning strike on Fort Myers Beach, three transported with various injuries
FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. (WINK) — The Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District is responding to a fatal lightning strike where one man was killed directly, along with three people who received various injuries while swimming in the Gulf.

Got on it right as it was tornado warned again for Iowa County. Looked briefly interesting but started barfing outflow pretty soon after that.

So now we can enjoy our heatwave without electricity to power our air conditioning. Yay.

Yeah we are getting tortured with the heat. These storms won’t help with anything but cause more inconvenience.

Speaking of heat, the Independence Day Parade in Washington D.C. was cancelled due to extreme heat. Hope there is not a Derecho there during fireworks time.

Boston’s 4th of July show with the Boston Pops was delayed due to severe storms in the area.

The Macy’s Fireworks in New York City started early to beat the line of severe thunderstorms headed towards the area.
