Question 12 is my favorite... translated: "Do you agree that whenever any form of media broadcasts mean things about our dear leader, that the government should step in and tell you what to think?"

Question 2 is another honorable mention... Who do you think should set the U.S. policy agenda?
-President Trump (consolidate as much power as possible in the hands of one guy, our dear leader, because history says that always works out great), -The Courts (because whenever a court rules that laws which infringe on the rights of people we don't like are in fact unconstitutional, that's bad), -Deep State bureaucrats (whatever the hell that means, we don't know either, but they are indeed fancy words we throw around to rile up our base)

Is there really a gold statue of Trump in front of Mar-A-Largo or is it more AI junk?

Had a conversation with my grandparents last night when they brought up Trump. Mixed in was some casual racism against Iranians and Black people (gramps said that Iranians "want to die fighting" and that he "doesn't want no damn Black person in the family") and also some talk about the President's approval ratings. I brought up that his approval ratings are at historic lows, and their defense was "his approval ratings aren't really low, that's just what the media says".

lol... I guess Pew Research Center and other nonpartisan pollsters are just "the media", but Fox News propaganda (the only media they consume) is fair and balanced. Just ridiculous... MAGA is now resorting to straight up denialism to continue defending their agenda... but I'll give them one thing, the mental gymnastics are fairly impressive.

Nope, not AI slop unfortunately. Numerous credible outlets and Trump himself have confirmed the existence of the statue:
(it's bronze wrapped in gold leaf though, not solid gold.)

I can forgive you for being skeptical - Trump does seem to love constantly posting AI slop to Truth Social. The guy is an embarrassment.

They certainly claim to be when it fits their agenda. When it doesn't add up then it's just a mirage.

The corrupticans are calling the shots and erasing progress while the dimwitocrats fester in their angry stew trying to figure out what message to send and what to do. It's just sad to watch.

This is completely and utterly a) insane and b) corrupt. If this happened with the Dem president, they would be marched out of Washington the next day and guillotined. Since it's Trump, crickets!

Watching this video honestly made me feel sick:


Those on the fringe of the GOP aren't even trying to hide their intentions anymore. Mark Dice straight up says in the video "we don't want any non-white immigrants from any country, anywhere, coming here anymore", while Trump said about Somalis "I don't want them in our country". Meanwhile, representative Andy Ogles and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis are publicly calling for the repeal of the Hart-Celler Act, a law from 1965 that's been around longer than most of these people (except Trump) have even been alive, but is suddenly an issue out of nowhere I guess.

The comment section on that video isn't any better. Mostly just people blaming Jews, blaming women, or calling for non-White people to have their citizenship unconstitutionally revoked.

The fringe of the GOP is starting to sound like they want a goddamn ethnic cleansing in this country. What's "good and Christian" about that, I might ask? Even remotely?

And while I don't think it's the whole party, it's certainly more than a healthy amount for society. We've already seen the fringe of a party become the loudest voice in discourse starting with the Democrats in 2016, and now the Republicans from 2024 onwards.

It's not just the fringe of the party. These are mainstream influencers and politicians. Has it not become obvious what the GOP has become? It literally is a party of hate and Trump is the center of it. It's white supremacism, and yes, they want ethnic cleansing.

Yesterday the pretext for mingling in Cuba was set forward. It comes as no shock Trump is talking about "helping" their "failed country" today. More America First policy at its finest.

Oh so they're wanting to delete the pathway to a green card/make it horrendously challenging now. This is not what encouraging legal immigration looks like and directly impacts me and my future career prospects in the country.
