Severe Weather Threat May 16-18, 2026

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON AND SOUTHERN GAGE COUNTIES...

At 254 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located 4 miles east of Diller, or 13 miles southwest of
Beatrice, moving northeast at 25 mph. A new area of rotation capable
of developing into a tornado was developing 2 miles west of Odell,
also moving northeast at 25 mph. A third area of rotation capable of
developing into a tornado was located 5 miles south of Endicott,
also moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. This storm has a history of
producing a tornado 2 miles south of Diller.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
Odell around 300 PM.
Wymore and Blue Springs around 310 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Rock
Creek Station State Historical Park and Endicott.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
 
Kansas cell has no reason not to be producing near term.
Actually, it probably does: The dewpoint depressions to the east are fairly high (over 15 degrees in places), and the surface-level backing doesn't seem to be all that strong.
