2026 Political Thread

Can you please explain, in good faith, what's "threatening" about posting a picture of seashells arranged to spell out "8647"? Can you convince me that this isn't just political abuse of the justice system, much like how political abuse of psychiatry occurred in the USSR?

Or are you just going to swallow the government's narrative on this because yours truly is in charge?
I'm not a lawyer or have a criminal investigative background. I'm just posting what those who discovered the evidence and within their legal bounds to investigate and pursue Federal charges against someone who was determine to have made a threat against POTUS.

Comey and the whole Obama gang hates Trump, everyone knows this for sure now. I do ask how many people swallowed all the bogus charges and horrendous accusations against Trump in RussiaGate in all of that ridiculous narrative? Did you swallow what the Obama/Biden admin. was feeding the liberal sheep/ MSM?

I just posted what the DOJ and the Grand Jury found. They say there are plenty more indictments coming in RussiaGate. I'll guess we'll see.

lol, just more whataboutism (What about Obama/Biden/Russiagate???) to deflect my question, not surprising though.

I'll never forget how MAGA went from "distrust the government" to "believe everything the government says or does now that Trump is back in".

And just an FYI, I've read an entire book on the Russia-Trump investigation (The Russia Hoax by Gregg Jarrett) so the insinuation that I 'swallowed' Obama and Biden's viewpoints of that investigation is laughable.

Whatever makes you feel better....LOL. I gave you what the law said by transmitting the threat via interstate commerce (social media). Maybe you simply don't have the capacity to interpet the meaning of 8647" and EVERYONE saw the threat he created in the sand. Just contiune laughing off everything if it pertains to the conservative side of an investigation or indictments though.

...and was it a "threat" when Jack Posobiec tweeted "86 46"? Should he have a federal indictment against him? Or does he get a pass because his tweet was anti-Biden?

And I thought 86 meant to kick someone out of somewhere, not murder them, but you're right, maybe I just don't have the capacity to understand that.

But seeing as I can count the number of times you've directly answered a question in this thread on one hand with fingers left over, I don't think we're gonna get anywhere.

He has nothing in the tank except for ad hominem when he gets cornered.

The president of the country threatening genocide against Iran? No comment

A former director of the FBI posting an image of seashells in sand, that just expresses disdain for the president of the country? Get him behind bars ASAP

How is this line of thinking rational in any way? Are you being intentionally dense?

AG Todd Blanche said today that people selling mugs with “8647” on them don’t need to worry about being prosecuted, even though that is literal interstate commerce. This is a textbook example of selective prosecution, which is why this case is gonna get tossed so incredibly quickly, and why supporting it or viewing it as a “good” thing is so powerfully stupid.

AND....He also said this in which you conveniently left out

"Rest assured that it's not just the Instagram post that leads somebody to get indicted.""The career FBI agents, the career Secret Service agents that investigated this case, didn't just look at the Instagram post and WALK AWAY.""That's why you saw an indictment last week. Not withstanding the fact that it was last May that the post was made.""So I am not permitted to get into the details of what the grand jury heard or found, as you know."

Yes I left out the very vague illusion to more evidence even though none has been provided, because I didn't want to make Blanche look even dumber and less trustworthy, but thanks for making that point I guess

Give him some credit. He did respond to Trump's genocidal threats against Iran by saying 'BoMbInG bRiDgEs IsNt A wAr CrImE'

Which it absolutely is according to the Geneva Conventions, but hey, MAGA's dear leader himself said he 'doesn't need international law' and can just do whatever he wants. Which is also against literally principle of a free state, but MAGA ditched loyalty to the Constitution for loyalty to their supreme leader a while ago.

Uhmmm, Im not Tim? I'm Ray.

James Comey is charged with Threatening the President in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 871(a) and Transmitting a Threat in Interstate Commerce in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 875(c).

The Grand Jury examined the evidence in this case in North Carolina and found probable cause. Go ask them maybe.

No, you're definitely Tim. I just find it weird that you haven't moved on from here. Haven't changed a bit. That's not healthy.

I don't get where you're coming from, Evan. Ray seems like a completely different guy to me.

The BMX radar issue has me thinking about the various radar holes and the aging fleet of existing NEXRAD radars.

Did you know that Trump's ballroom, that was supposed to be privately funded (and I supported) would fund the construction of 40 NEXRAD radars across the country? If you take into consideration annual operating costs, we could build 20 NEXRAD radars and fund the maintenance of each of them for the next 20 years with that same ballroom money.

Ballroom - $400 million (and I'm being nice and not including the extra $600 million in security funding the Republicans are seeking)
One NEXRAD - $10 million
Annual Maintenance - $500,000 per radar

What about Trump arch. He claims it will be privately funded, but as we've seen with the ballroom and even with the wall along the southern border, that's a lie. The cost of the arch is estimated at $100 million, with some estimates as high as $400 million. I trust we can all do the math from here.

FWIW - current estimates is the war in Iran has cost us anywhere from $40 billion to $72 billion, so far.

Personally, I prefer Republicans that are fiscally responsible.

Dang, you'd think that I'd least get a mention in a footnote or the bibliography or something.
