Sorry if this doesn't fit here. I'm considering myself a newbie in terms of learning meteorological information. I'm the type of guy that turns on TWC & local stations as well some chasers pages when a severe outbreak has been forecast in the area or nearby. I've also done the basic Skywarn weather spotter training.
I'm looking to learn more details in storm forecasts & models. Where is the best place to start? I thought there were more in depth Skywarn classes for severe weather & tornadoes. Where is the best place to learn hodographs, helicity, & etc? The end goal is to be involved in local weather spotting & eventually storm chasing just outside the local area.
