There are several Flash Flood Warnings now for the Memphis metro area.Anyone else noticing a potential significant flash flooding risk setting up in the Memphis Metro with heavy thunderstorms training along I-40 for 50+ miles coming into the City?
There were a few points in the last hour or two where the meso got really strong. I gotta wonder if it's periodically planted a few tornadoes, impossible to tell though.Echo tops are coming down a bit on it since 10-15 minutes ago. I thought I noticed it fading on the Little Rock radar in reflectivity and a switch over to the Jackson, MS radar confirmed it may be weakening at the moment.
Still worth monitoring closely given the environment would be supportive of significant tornadoes.
Edit: the echo top data is noisier than I realized, so it may not actually be weakening?

As expected, the Severe Thunderstorm Watch was cancelled early for middle Tennessee.Northwest Alabama was dropped from the Severe Thunderstorm Watch. Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Severe Thunderstorm Watch for middle Tennessee is cancelled early.
