Good news fom Oregon Live, about 45 minutes ago, although they don't mention observations (BTW, I'm ~70 miles inland, on the other side of a mountain range, and not near a coastal river, but plenty of people are vulnerable to tsunamis here):
Some parts of Oregon and the rest of the coast are getting small waves, per the latest obs reported.

Something I didn't know and worth sharing for everyone on any coast. (He's an NHK disaster reporter. ) X translation: "A tsunami can sweep you away even at 30 centimeters. It’s completely different from a normal wave. Please escape without letting your guard down."

Looks like there were several pretty decent waves in Hawaii, 6-9 feet locally wave to trough. Reached porches and such probably with scattered damage, and at least two foot waves on the Pacific coast, but overall heard of no direct casualties. Still the largest tsunami in a long time in the US but damage seems pretty limited.

Of course, that's hardly noticeable to bystanders now.
Also, other seismologists I follow informally tweeted that the fault seemed to rupture to the SW -- ? length. That might be hard to estimate yet. There were a 6.9 and a 6.3 listed by the USGS shortly after the main shock; maybe it was a complex break.

I usually go into severe weather hibernation for the summer, but I realized how ACTIVE Russia has been and thought I would share.
I don’t know of any earthquake swarms where so many M6 quakes occurred.
