Barry”s peak winds were only 45 MPH. If Barry does get retired, would this be the weakest system to ever get its name retired in the Atlantic basin?
Yes.
Allison 2001 and Ericka 2015 were stronger.
Allison peaked at 60 mph
Ericka peaked at 50 mph
If Barry does get retired, it would be third TC in the Atlantic Basin to only be a Tropical Storm and still get retired after Allison and Ericka.
