There were a couple of tornado warnings in eastern WV and northern MD. Maybe the stalled-out boundary that's dumping rain up along I-70 was locally enhancing the low-level shear or something?

That supercell in SE WY had been rotating pretty heavily for a while and had produced a weak tornado west of Cheyenne (according to reports), but I think it's noteworthy that three other storms in Central-North WY got warned right around the same time it put down the big tornado. It's an interesting situation for this time of the year, especially considering not long after the tornado dissipated the whole storm did so as well.

Well I totally missed that one hah. Had kinda written off this tornado season for the most part and was too busy watching Alberto. Wish I'd seen a long Radarscope loop of that one, the screenshots I'm seeing are jaw-dropping.

Was not at all expecting this when I checked Radarscope today. Shame there didn't seem to be any live streaming chasers on any of the sites I usually use, some of the radar signatures today were fairly impressive!

Getting messy up around Dodge City but that storm down on the KS/OK line is all by itself.

Hail Storm in Dallas Area Last Night

Big hail storm in the Dallas metro area around 1am this morning (6/6). This is what happens when severe weather strikes crowded, urbanized areas.

"In all, approximately, 20,000 structures and 25,000 vehicles were damaged for an estimated total insured losses from the hail storm – $425 million, according to the Insurance Council of Texas."

No doubt the best storm structure of 2018 ( & maybe top 5 of the past 10 years?) from the Laramie, Wyoming tornado on 6/6/18. Chasers said the tornado was a slow-mover that stayed on the open ground for about an hour. Simply mesmerizing.

The tornado of the year being in a 2% TOR area in Wyoming is...a great summation of the 2018 season.

So is the fact that chasers are getting hyped over this outlook:

There was also an EF3 in Wyoming on June 1st. Two EF3s in Wyoming this year, and as far as I can tell so far Oklahoma has only managed a single EF2, and Kansas a single EF3. Weird year.
