It was incredibly disturbing to say the least. It was making rounds on Facebook and Youtube for hours before it was scrubbed.White supremacist nut job live streamed the mass murders on facebook. What a world.
How compassionate.
Yes, mocking prayer after people were murdered whilst praying is very constructive. Not sure why empathy is so hard to come by...She’s not wrong and I don’t think telling somebody you are sending thoughts and prayers means much of anything.

I couldn't agree more with your paragraph, the problem I have is politicians are only offering thoughts and prayers, when their job is to fix problems. When I see people mock faith and prayer as AOC did, it shows they have never faced tragedy and adversity out of their control. It helped my family and I, and countless others, during and after Hurricane Katrina. No, it shouldn’t be the ONLY thing you do, but when you have NOTHING and are facing a something that has forever changed your way of life, it is a constant and is always there. No one can take that from you. The hurricane can’t destroy your faith. At the very least, it is therapeutic, helping with the mental state of many after a disaster/tragedy.
So, yes, I say she is wrong. And she can shove that political posturing square up her rear end.
Gun control is not the only answer. She’s no solution Trump is no solution at anyone or anything that gains traction in the news and social media is no solution.
Everyday you go to work and school and see and interact with folks that differ from you and have different ideas and %99 percent of the time have no problem. Don’t turn on the news and listen unless you’re prepared to deal with everything presented to divide people. Don’t look at social media unless you’re looking for all the divides us and breaks us into groups. From my perspective the left is worse but we all know the right does too. We all have our faults. Only way to help others change views is first examine your own and constantly examine them. Learn to look at things objectively and calmly and avoid knee jerk criticism. Beware of those using any crises or event to push an agenda. New Zealand gun laws are not that strict. They do need a permit but don’t have to register all their guns. They have very low gun deaths. You can get more strict on gun laws in the U.S. but you won’t see a decrease in violence. Mass shootings as horrible as they are take place in places that are declared weapons free. These are also a statistically not a factor in gun deaths nationwide by the year or decade. Unless you’re going to mobilize a huge police presence even military presence to go into the streets after all the guns that are already illegally obtained and illegally used you are not going to make a dent in gun violence and deaths by attacking law abiding citizens who exercise their 2nd amendment rights and defend those rights in political arena. That’s what people mean when they say thoughts and prayers are not enough, that you must enact strict gun control registration and confiscation. Well that’s a big undertaking and unless your willing to chase the guns that are actually doing the most killing then it won’t fix anything.
Gun control is not the only answer.
The thing is, we never see a debate on anything from politicians. It’s just forever “BLAH! NRA MONEY AND CHILDRENS BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS” from the left. And from the right “DONT TREAD ON THE GRAVES OF THE DEAD. THE BODIES ARE STILL WARM.” Look at the CNN townhall after Parkland. Talk about a left wing hack job.I couldn't agree more with your paragraph, the problem I have is politicians are only offering thoughts and prayers, when their job is to fix problems.
You’re not wrong on my disdain. I might loathe her more than any politician currently.I'd like to add that I don't see it as a mockery of faith & prayer. To me, it's just another way of saying "There's too many mass shootings & some are happening at churches, thoughts and prayers aren't enough". Social media has been bringing "thoughts and prayers" up to the podium for years now, trying to let people know that a cultural shift is necessary if we want anything to change. Thoughts and prayers won't do it. AOC is just repackaging that message. I could see how somebody might get mildly offended at this, but Kory's outrage is comedically heightened because of his preconceived distain for the person saying it. *Popcorn*
Also agree with above, there's too many guns. Trying to take them would be a disaster. Only real course of action I think, is to invest to reform our youth's education and have EFFECTIVE programs to combat poverty. Very popular ideas among conservatives though, we'd have to convince Democrats to spend tax dollars on helping the less fortunate. Can't do it with all the greed and filth in government and business though...

Being poor and being a degradation to our society are not a given as you infer. Look at the Kardashians. Look at the POTUSThis country has spent and will continue to spend trillions of dollars helping the poor. We have to be honest with ourselves and ask what has happened over the past fifty years that has lead to the degradation of our society. Especially the black community.
He's literally a textbook case for term limits. So the house passed a resolution saying the Mueller report should be made public by a margin of 420-0. Lindsey Graham blocked this resolution for consideration in the Senate. Why?
I just don’t understand the guy. He went from hating trump to kissing his rear end and doing shady things to protect him. He's literally a textbook case for term limits.
Quid pro quo stuff in the 2020 campaign I imagine. I can’t stand Graham outside what he brought to the Kavanaugh hearings. He said what a lot of people were thinking but otherwise, he’s a snake in the grass.I just don’t understand the guy. He went from hating trump to kissing his rear end and doing shady things to protect him.
