Speaking for the sexual assault allegations...I still believe in due process. I don't want to see anyone threatened with their job, their reputation, and have their life ruined over an accusation. It shouldn't matter if they are a Democrat or Republican, black or white, rich or poor. This is what's wrong with our country. No one treats anyone like human beings. We are all just political tools. You think what's good for the goose... is going to get you somewhere? Where? At what point do you say...."No, you are not going to change my beliefs. You are not going to turn me into.... you." Because that's exactly what's happening if you suddenly decide that YOU no longer believe in due process. I thought the whole point to this life thing was being a better person--learning from our mistakes--and most importantly, not allowing others to drag you down to their level...but bringing them up to yours. This used to be a principle most people lived by. Are we done pretending we have principles anymore? I know it's hard living in this political climate and the urge to make them play by their rules is strong. I get it. But it's not the right thing to do here. The right thing to do is to stand by your beliefs and conviction that everyone is entitled to due process, regardless of political affiliation. If someone is guilty of sexual assault the truth will come out. But, let's find out. Let's not demand they basically admit guilt by stepping down from their job without so much as an investigation.

And I'm not near as offended by thirty year old photos as I am by comments made thirty minutes ago about killing babies after they're born. But that's not what we're talking about is it? Funny, how the conversation shifted so drastically in a twenty-four hour news cycle from killing babies to whether or not the governor wore black face in medical school. The governor should resign....but for his views on infanticide because those are the views he currently holds and that definitely speaks to the content of his character.

I was attempting to point out the hypocrisy of the democrat party. They were not willing to give due process to justice Kavanaugh. Immediate ouster was the only and correct remedy. Yet, hardly a word from dems on the Virginia pols. And yes, I agree Northams' comments about post birth abortion (murder) should the focus of our attention.

Right. "Hardly a word" to you, because you surround yourself in conservative media and create the bias you're trying to criticize the Dems of having. Then lecturing others on hypocrisy...
As a left leaning independent I've seen substantial information, headlines and calls from democratic media & politicians for the Virginia Dems to resign and calling them out as shameful. All day & every day since the day of the original yearbook press release.

Spartacus, Kamala, et al have not been as "noisy" calling on resignations as they were about Brett Kavanaugh.

All 2020 Democratic presidential hopefuls sign onto AOC's Green Deal. That is a party that needs to be stopped. Their sole mission...to destroy America. I firmly believe that.

Specifically, what do you not like about the green deal? I don’t like the strong union support in it. I think that weakens America.

Not much. It doesn’t really have any good specifics. I do think we need to invest more in our infrastructure and achieve some advances in alternative energy at a faster pace than we are doing now.
No one here is disagreeing with that. But to achieve carbon-free emission economy without nuclear energy is impossible. Every building in the U.S. would be retrofitted in "green" fashion. Who has the money for this? Oh, and it eliminates all air flight. WTF?

Universal healthcare, wealth redistribution, etc are just a few other things. Because, you know, socialism. The goal...bankrupt the country to the point of collapse (we're headed there, this would only speed up to light speed). Surprised the libs didn't stick gun control or after birth abortion in there. Would round out their platform.

It’s in their FAQ’s.

This is a f***ing parody and a joke. Can’t wait for the high speed train to Hawaii!

Why "net zero"? The lawmakers explained: "We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren't sure that we'll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast."
