1.The numbers and situation are quite different. The kids during the Obama years showed up without adults. The admin was trying to find their parents. The Trump admin is removing the children from their parents, then finding themselves unable to track the adults properly.

2. This was a disaster that even infuriated republican senators, for a little while.
2b. Puerto Rico isn't a country. They are run by the left, so they shouldn't receive disaster aid?
3. Trump said NK was going to disarm. NK said they weren't going to disarm. He looks pretty dumb.
4. He has directly attacked the FBI. How is that an MSNBC talking point?
5. Again, his response was horrific.
6. Why didn't trump veto it?

The kids in "cages" happened while Barry was president.
PR is a territory run by corrupt liberals for decades. They did receive aid.
Rome was not built in a day and NK will not disarm overnight. Give the man time. He looks dumb to people that don't know what they are talking about.
The FBI deserved it and then some.
No it was not.
Because it contained funding for the military including a pay raise. said he would not sign another bill like it. We will see about that.

Face it, we are much better off as a nation than we were 20 months ago.

Blame Congress Ghost. That's where spending bill originate.
He said he would reduce the deficit "fairly quickly"... it's a fail on your guy. He wants to spend spend spend... also cutting tax revenue. We all fussed about Obama's deficits... Trump's makes the last four or five of Obam' seem puny. He's a con man. That's all he's ever been and you and so many have fell for it.

Let's see where it is at the end of his two terms.

Trump makes me cringe at times I will admit. But, you cannot deny the results. I think the chances are good he gets a third pick in this term or possibly his second. Yes, I do believe Trump will win another term. I do not believe he will be impeached. I think Mueller needs to wrap up his investigation and let the man go about doing his job. Trump fights back. Name me the last Republican president that did. Get on board Evan!

My position on Trump hasn't and won't change.

We should be putting sanctions on Saudi Arabia and cutting off all military aid as soon as it is feasible. The Khashoggi debacle is proof positive that MBS is nothing more than a thug and he should be treated like we typically treat despotic thugs.

We should also freeze Saudi assets until they allow a full search of their embassy/consulate. We should also cut off their access to Western financial markets like we've done to Iran until they admit they are lying about their security cameras not working or provide verifiable technical proof that their claim is both true and unintentional.

There's probably more we should do. The current Russia/Iran sanctions are a good starting point, but whatever we should do should be designed to bring Saudi Arabia to their knees. It might even give us an opening to rework the Iran deal. Nothing Saudi Arabia would fear more than us potentially making peace wirh Iran. MBS would be tossed out on his money maker by the Royal family within days.

When Sandy hit the east coast Obama and Romney BOTH suspended their campaigns. Trump bashed Obama for campaigning a WEEK after Sandy made landfall.

Obama also golfed through the 2016 Louisiana flood as tens of thousands of people languished in the costliest disaster since Sandy. Trump meanwhile donated a truckload of supplies and helped distribute them. I had family who went through it...that was a big plus for Trump in their minds.

Not sure what you're trying to point out, but it's not surprising both sides only give a shite about it unless they can benefit from appearances.

My point is that Trump does exactly what he says others should not do. He is one of the great hypocrites of all time.

He bashed Obama for campaigning a week after sandy. He is campaigning TONIGHT.

Further, Trump only went to Louisiana for the optics. He has donated more to the Clinton foundation than he did after the floods or Katrina.

MBS has bragged that he has Kushner “in his pocket”. I don’t know why he has said this, but he has.

Sorry, you're not gonna get me to bash the man for how much or little he donated to disaster relief funds. That is just classless.

Do you think him campaigning last night is hypocritical?

And I will be classless and bash him for it because he only did it when it directly benefitted himself.

Trump's hypocrisy goes without saying. How much have we rehashed that in this thread? I just have a problem with you pointing out how much/little he has donated to relief funds. Would you like to share how much you donated to the 2016 Louisiana relief fund versus some politically driven foundation?

And I have stated above that it is all about how they can benefit politically from these dog and pony shows. Trump didn't do that out of the goodness of his heart for the folks of Louisiana...but it did indeed help people in need regardless of intention.

I generally donate about $100 to each major hurricane relief effort. I’ve never donated to any political cause in any way.

As someone whose family has been on the receiving end of disaster relief, every little bit matters. Thank you for your contributions. I wasn’t trying to be an money maker (that was a rhetorical question) but whether someone donates $10 or $10,000, someone has been helped from that. That is my point.

I understand that completely. I also understand that people sometimes only give when it helps themselves instead of thinking about those who are suffering.
