The message they're sending is that special counsels should be protected now and in the future and this legislation should be passed... But we're not ready to do it yet. Because ... ?

If Trump is innocent and has nothing to hide he would welcome Mueller’s investgation. In fact he would sit down and truthfully answer any and all questions Mueller would want to ask him. Right Matt?

Serious question - how long does Mueller need for his investigation? This has been going on for a year and a half with seemingly no end in sight. His work is important, sure, but tax dollars are flying out the window.

Actually the investigation has turned a profit since the forfeiture of Manafort's assets. The Watergate investigation took between 2 and 5 years. This is much more complex than that.

I could seriously see this mess taking a decade to figure out.
