There's a Modern Marvels TV show episode from the late 1990s that features a man who was incarcerated for several years and sentenced to death, eventually proven innocent with DNA evidence. While he was interviewed he stated that he "wrote everyone, from the president of the United States to Donald Trump" to appeal his innocence. Makes me laugh every time I see it. Reminds me of back to the Future... "Ronald Reagan, the actor!?"

Rage Against The Machine predicted this in 1999.

I think Walsh has a point here regarding the recent upticks in suicide. We are more aware of mental health now than ever before, yet somehow, suicide rates continue to climb. I guess when you have recent generations being taught that we are nothing but highly evolved pond scum that through monumental chance humans wound up where they are. Humans, we are told, are responsible for everything bad happening. Each breath adds to the damage caused by humans to this earth (I never understood why people separate humans from the rest of nature...we are APART of nature). We are taught that we have no purpose beyond this life, there is nothing but seeking immediate pleasure through any means necessary. Too often I see people living by the motto "To hell with tomorrow, let's live for today."

Add into the fact that we place no value on human life. We let doctors who are supposed to preserve life, by any means necessary, kill the most innocent of our species. We now have developed nations letting doctors assist patients with ending it all. So, I can see why the decay in culture, the decay of morals, the decay in just being decent humans had led to an uptick in suicides....and it cannot all be attributed to mental health services being improperly funded. Yes mental health services should be the utmost importance, but it goes beyond that.

Not much to say about NK. Went worse that ever imagined. NK makes no concessions and we make huge concessions all to simply agree to meet again.

Massive propaganda coup. Trump speaking on VoA (beamed into NK) making excuses for Kim and praising him. It's exactly what everyone said would happen. Trump was desperate for a "deal" no matter what. He gave away the store to get Kim to agree to meet him again. Something Kim had already wanted and was willing to do (as we saw with the summit).

No spin makes this positive. Completely catastrophic. This makes the Iran Deal look like the Treaty of Versailles.

You sound just like Joe Scarborough. We postponed some war games. No big deal. The troops in SK are so finely tuned that this won't harm their readiness. So overdramatic!

We did much more than postpone our military exercises and you know that. If you are going to say things in bad faith then I really shouldn't even respond.

Trump parroted multiple pieces of North Korea propaganda. One, that our military exercises are "provocative." Two, that North Korea didn't keep previous agreements because the US didn't uphold OUR end of the deal. That's such a ridiculous lie, and it might be the most embarrassing thing an American President has ever said. That's in addition to saying that Kim's people love him and that he cares about him.

There was no agreement to denuclearize, which was supposed to be a pre-condition or even having a summit just a few months back. Now, there's not even such an agreement after having the summit.

The US made multiple huge concessions while NK made zero. We put Kim and NK on equal footing with our country. We put the American flag right next to the North Korean flag even though we are still at war with them. A peace treaty was never signed. Think about that for a minute. Trump didn't even negotiate an end to the war, but here he is cancelling military exercises and saying he's looking to withdraw our troops.

Trump was absolutely rolled by North Korea and Kim. I can't believe Bolton went along with this, but it isn't the first time someone has given up their integrity to please Trump -- only it is never dictators like Assad, Putin, and Kim.

The summit was a total catastrophe. NK made no concessions. They did nothing more than they've done before in small side meetings at unimportant events.

Now we have Russia and China telling the UN Security Council that we should remove sanctions on NK. How long before Trump agrees to that so he can get a second meeting with Kim?

Trump looked like a mark to Kim, Russia, and China, and they conned him beyond belief.

Where's a single NK concession, Matt? They didn't even have to address their human rights -- including the murder of several US citizens.

I'm aghast that anyone sober thinks this went well. It was a disaster.

AHAHAHAHA. Senate doesn't trust Trump not to get rolled.

It's nice to finally see Congress standing up and demanding that the president doesn't begin unilaterally entering all of these executive agreements with foreign enemies. Much like the Iran Deal should've been submitted to Congress for treaty approval, this should as well. But, I have a feeling that if it does get sent to Congress, and the above concessions are true, it won't get a pass. Same for the Iran Deal, no way it would've passed Congress given the concessions that U.S. made.

I have no illusions about a North Korea resolution, but it would be just like God to use Trump and Rodman to do it. Haha.
