Greg Byrne can shove that Bryant Denny stadium Jumbotron up his rear end. I hope to God the Board of Trustees rejects BDS renovation.

Otherwise, Coleman looks amazing in the renderings.

I looked at that and was like... what in the world is that monstrosity?

I'm personally not a huge fan of what they want to do with BDS in general. It could use some touching up and the renderings reflect that, but they seem to be trying to make it a more professional atmosphere and I'm not particularly on board with that. An NFL game-day atmosphere is not what we need. The atmosphere is what makes college football so unique and special. Don't try to mess it up with VIP lounges and new high-tech video boards galore.

Cam Sims tearing it up with the Redskins in the preseason. Its unbelievable how underutilized he was the last two years because we had no downfield passing attack to speak of. He could have been an absolute monster if we had a QB who could get him the ball.

Early scrimmage reports saying Tua is the definite first-team QB in the rotation. Started and got most of the first team snaps as of right now.

Remember the name Jaylen Waddle. RS Freshman WR who is starting to become absolutely dominant. Could even steal a game 1 starting spot from the trio of last year's freshmen.

Josh Jacobs also shining today with Najee out with an injury. Hopefully we see him get back to his 2016 form.

Jalen looked improved today but he was regulated to second team duties with Tua taking the first team snaps today. Tua had two touchdowns including a 50 yard bomb to Waddle and Jalen had a touchdown as well, but also threw a pick-6 to Josh Jobe.

Looks like the depth chart is shaping out with Tua, Jalen, and Mac being 1-2-3, Damien followed by Jacobs/Najee at RB, and Jeudy, Ruggs, and Waddle being the top 3 WRs. Devonta Smith missed time with an injury but he was only in the locker room for a short amount of time before running back out onto the field.

On the flip side, the secondary did not have a great day today. Very fortunate that we have a potentially record-setting offense this year, because things could look like 2010, 2013, and 2014 at least early on while they get their feet under them in the secondary.

2013/2014 was due to Saban’s transition to a new defense scheme within the 3-4 defense.

If Tua is dropping dimes and players like Ruggs and Waddle are making plays they can make a secondary look bad.

Alabama opens at 1, Georgia at 3, Auburn at 9.

https://collegefootball.ap.org/poll

November looks absolutely brutal for us. LSU, Mississippi State, and Auburn all opening up ranked and if we win the west we will almost certainly be playing a very pissed off Georgia team in Atlanta who will have no shortage of motivation after last year. That could be a brutal 5 game stretch.

Reading more into OSU's handling and its becoming more and more of a joke. Urban Meyer is suspended 3 games, but has absolutely no restrictions on being able to attend practice or team events from M-F. He'll be around the program just as he always is from M-F running practice, but he'll get the added LUXURY of having Saturdays off as he won't be at the stadium with the team.

He can draw up the gameplan and run practice as usual, and then on Saturday go out and play a round of golf while everyone else is at the game.

What a joke.

Meyer looked like a hostage reading a boilerplate response up on that podium. Not once did the higher up officials address the victim. I think that presser was a disaster for OSU. But hey, 47-3 in conference play will let you slide when it comes to ethical violations.

If the NCAA was worth anything they would start addressing these ethical violations that are starting to become rampant in university administrations instead of worrying about whether or not a football player put cream cheese on his bagel.. but that's never going to happen.

It all started with Penn State and the NCAA going soft on them. Their punishment, along with Baylor's and Michigan State's, should've made SMU's death penalty look like a slap on the wrist. I, personally, would've dismantled their program til kingdom come. It's more than just about winning. It's about developing these athletes so they can be the best at not only the sport, but a person with ethics, morals, and standards. Isn't that what an institution of higher education is for?

But when you have athletic departments and admins thoroughly rotten to the core, this is all a pipe dream.

The NCAA is going to officially recognize UCF and Alabama as co-national champions for the 2017 season.

This is just unbelievable that anyone would allow that crap.

Believe it or not, there is a little bit of college football on tonight as Jacksonville State is on ESPN playing against North Carolina A&T from Montgomery. The Gamecocks will be using two quarterbacks tonight, including one that is a transfer from Clemson.

Insiders confirming Tua will start but expect a USC 2016 style of musical QBs until one of them gets the hot hand.

Tua is the better thrower but Saban doesnt like his riskier style of play which is why the QB battle has gone on as long as it has according to insiders.

FWIW... I was talking to a Red Elephant Club member at our event at church last Saturday and he had got to go to a practice the week before. I asked him if he thought Tua would start and he said from what he saw, Jalen would be the starter based on his performance in that practice. I said that was a surprise because all I had read was how Tua had distanced himself from Hurts in practice but he said in the one he saw Jalen definitely performed better.
