Absolutely wild last night (I was at a loss for words in the crowd as confetti rained down). What a swing of emotions. I'm still sort of in disbelief, but there is no question anymore of who should be front and center on the Mount Rushmore of College Football.

And oh my...Tua!

It's so great to see Coach Saban like this!

Damien Harris is returning for his senior year. That is a huge gain for us next season. With Bo Scabrough gone we may finally get to see what he can do with 20 carries a game. Also will take pressure off Tua as he adjusts to being a full time starter.

List of players who reasonably may leave Alabama early and their current decisions so far..

DaRon Payne - NFL
Calvin Ridley - NFL
Bo Scarborough - NFL
Ronnie Harrison - TBA
Jalen Hurts - TBA
Isaiah Buggs - TBA
Damien Harris - Returning
Minkah Fitzpatrick - TBA (But he's a top 5 pick on a lot of boards so he'd be slightly insane to stay for his senior year)

Harrison will likely go. I've seen him rated pretty high in various places.

Buggs might go but I think he needs another year in college.

It may be bias, but I think it would be in Harrison's best interest to stay if he wants to solidify himself a a top 5 pick like Fitzpatrick. He's been more or less playing under Fitzpatrick's shadow these past two seasons and it may benefit him greatly to have a year where he's the unquestioned leader of the secondary if he wants to go that route. If he just wants to get out and get graded as a solid but not particularly outstanding safety, it would be best for him to go now. There's really no bad option for him.

Looks like we’re gonna be in for a major staff overhaul. Ansley/Pruitt gone with Locksley interviewing with FSU for the OC job.

Brought on Pete Golding who will likely take over the secondary roll. Tosh appears to get the nod for DC (and is our best recruiter outside Pruitt). Saban already prefaced that he wants the DC to come from within the program. Looks like we need to add a couple more position coaches/recruiters.

Wonder if Kirby is still pushing the “UGA is the new Bama” mantra? The guy is cutthroat as shown by his dirty tactics when he was doing double duty as Bama’s DC and UGA’s head coach.

Also, was this a flash in the pan for UGA or can Kirby sustain this success? I’m not sold on the latter....

If Tosh does well, I wonder if he'll become a head coach in waiting of sorts. I know it's hard to say, but I think Saban is getting to that point in his career to where he realizes he needs to begin thinking of a succession plan when the time comes to hang up the headset and if Dabo decides he's not interested. Tosh would fit that role nicely.

I've been hearing that Saban is telling recruits that he is planning for at least another 5+ years on the job. He doesn't seem to be slowing down...at all (although I'm sure the thought has crossed his mind). Just look at how energetic he looked after that win Monday. I can't imagine him not coaching...I think he'd go insane knowing he would have no part. He has reiterated those same thoughts...no plans to retire in the foreseeable future. What if I told you we have only hit the half way point of the dynasty...

I have expressed disappointment regarding Pruitt taking the UT job. But he's a Bama guy through and through. I could see him getting serious consideration when that day comes.

And for the love of all that is holy...can we use the 10th coaching spot for someone who can teach how to kick field goals?!

I was behind the upright Pappanastos missed both field goals. I could tell the minute they left his foot they were no good.

Harrison is a top 4-5 safety in this class everywhere I look and projected to go late 1st round or 2nd round. If he has a realistic shot to go in the first 2 rounds, he needs to go. He'll start getting paid now and will hit free agency a year soon. Not to mention, if he falls to the second round I think he hits free agency a year sooner.

As always, the usual caveat is he needs to have a good combine.

Saban recommended Houston Nutt to replace him at LSU. I don't want Saban having any say in his replacement.

This was 14 years ago back when Houston Nutt was considered a big name, overachieving coach at Arkansas. He didn't collapse on himself until he got to Ole Miss.

If he indeed has 5+ years left.. I think he could make it to 7 titles at Alabama and surpass the Bear's record.. and maybe even add another one or two after that.. And once he does step away from Football.. he'll definitely be getting a role in the athletic department somewhere. He's not going to up and leave for another coaching job unless it's volunteering in a youth league or at a local school after he retires.

It could just be paranoia on my end, especially with the way Bob Stoops just jumped ship out of nowhere this past summer.
