Literally made this thread to talk about WTF that was in the second half against Georgia State.

Absolutely embarrassing. I'm completely done with Avery Johnson.

Bama wins the games they aren’t supposed to (see Auburn, Oklahoma, and Tennessee last year) and lose ones we’re supposed to win (see UCF last year).

It's hard to get a feel for exactly where the UA program is and where it is headed under Johnson. There's certainly some reasons to be optimistic about this squad, but then you see a second half like the one against Georgia State and you just have to shake your head. I have a feeling this team will likely be like the last 3, come late February UA will be right on the edge of the bubble. I'm lukewarm on Johnson at best as a coach, but basketball is a long season, and this team could still gel into a solid team.

Really need to win the next two games against Penn State and @SFA before heading into SEC play. Losing at SFA would be a tough one because they appear to be not nearly as good as some of their previous teams, and it would add another bad loss to the resume.

I will say I was not impressed at all with the atmosphere at last night's Huntsville game. The VBC was only about half full and I got the feeling the crowd was frankly kinda bored the whole time. I know we're a white collar crowd and not an amateur crowd, but I wish there would be more support than what I saw last night.

They even played Dixieland Delight over the speakers during a media break and MAYBE 50 to 100 people sang along. It sounded like crickets in there.

Seems like it's due to the mediocre play from the past couple years (including the start to this season). The crowd for Mercer last year was pretty good wasn't it?

Welp, Bama beat Penn State, won @SFA, and beat Kentucky at home today.

Looking like this team will bounce all around the bubble this year again.

This is time to see what Avery Johnson is made of. Do we get complacent after the big W like we have done in the past or do we keep our foot on the gas? He seems to fail to instill the killer instinct in his players like Saban instilled in the football program.

Oh look another win over a big time opponent followed by two embarrassing losses in a row.

Same s**t, new year for Avery Johnson.

Nice to get a bounce-back win today, and I definitely don't feel as bad about losing to Ole Miss now. They're gonna be ranked this week. Kermit Davis has done an incredible job.

man we owe bama one tomorrow big time... we lost last year to bama by 21... I feel a big time payback coming tomorrow

UT should win by double digits in this game, they are clearly the far superior team. Bama is a bad matchup for UT (same as last year), however I don't think the matchup issues Alabama's presents is enough to keep this all that close, given how good of a team UT is this year.

If y'all wanna go ahead and beat Tennessee for us that would be great.

Of course Austin Wiley got hurt before our game with Kentucky.

Bama has been an improved free throw shooting team until today. Cost Bama the game (if they don’t win it in the last minute)

And free throws were the difference. Laughable call at the end wouldn't even matter if you hit 70% of them. Frustrating loss.
