I love that people like Limbaugh are saying garbage like, "Well Moore was a Democrat at the time of all of this!" What decent human could possibly care what political party he was in? Call me crazy, but pedophilia shouldn't be a partisan issue.

Also, does anyone think he'll actually give in and step aside? I don't think he will, which scares me. This being Alabama, I think if he stays in he will win.

If Moore doesn't forfeit and actually wins, there's no doubt Alabama will be the laughing stock of the country. I can see the headlines now... "Alabama elects senator suspected of molesting young teenage girls in his 30s" "Moore wins Alabama despite allegations of pedophilia" "Roy Moore overcomes molestation accusations to become Alabama Senator"

It’s ok. Grown men always write creepy notes in tenenagers’ yearbooks.

Turn out Congress has paid 15 Million dollars in sexual harassment claims. Taxpayer money. I want to know who they are and they should resign immediately.

I just went and checked my old year books. Not one was signed in December. Who carries their year book to the mall in December ?

Absolutely no one... good thing that isn't where the girl claimed he signed it, right?

I'm liberal and I agree. He should resign just like Roy Moore should step down for being a pedophile. Also, considering what the allegations are, it's pretty classless and gross of you to post that picture.

This is one reason this country is the dumpster fire it currently is. It's not a question of "Hey, a lot of men are pigs and need to learn how to respect women. How do we fix it?" thing. It's a, "HEY A DEMOCRAT/REPUBLICAN GOT CAUGHT, UR PARTY SUCKS HAHAHA!" thing. Meanwhile nothing is being done to find a fix to the actual problem. But I guess finding a fix to problems isn't as entertaining on Fox News or MSNBC.

Utterly ridiculous. That's like saying "a lot of Muslims are terrorists" because of the actions of a few. Our society does have a problem of treating other people with the dignity they deserve, but it stems from just more than having male genitalia. And blanketing 50% of the population because of their gender does NOTHING to fix that.

If it were Roy Moore or Donald Trump the picture would not bother you one iota.

So this is what it has come to. The fabric of this nation is unraveling and we have only ourselves to blame. Whether you are a Republican or a Democrat...whether you call yourself a liberal or a conservation, there is enough blame at this stage of the game there are no winners and if you find yourself pointing a finger at the opposing team, four more are pointing back at you. Because I honestly can't tell one side from other any more.

Democrats and liberals, those in the media and on the hill, and those who fancy themselves as John Stewart smarties... stop clutching your pearls. None of them cared when it was Bill Clinton being accused of rape - violent rape at that. The women who came out against him were savagely drug through the mud, made out to be liars and worse. And then his wife, who went on attack against these women, went on to run for president and almost won. And still, nobody cared. "Every woman deserves to be believed," says Ms. Clinton - except women who accuse her husband of rape. Then those women should scorned and threatened.

Now here we are, and Roy Moore is being accused of sexual assault against teenage girls when he was in his thirty's. And suddenly, these same political hacks are all aghast. Please. For the record, I believe the women after listening/reading what they had to say. I also believe the women who accused Clinton. But back to Moore...

For those who insist on supporting him... the reasons I have heard are as follows:

It was over 40 years ago! Why would a woman wait that long! (also said by Moore himself). The timing...oh, the timing! There are bigger things at stake, like the senate seat! We need his vote! We're looking at the bigger picture! There's no evidence! Innocent until proven guilty!

But my personal favorite is: Bill Clinton raped women and the Democrats circled the wagons and defended him! Republicans are selling Moore out! I'm sticking by Moore!

And this is what it has come to. Everything politics and winning. Only there are no winners anymore. We're all losers. Do you want to know why? Because if someone is willing to send a sexual predator to Washington to be YOUR VOICE just to stick it in the face of someone on the other side of the aisle or even on the same side for those who are convinced its all a McConnell conspiracy, then you've lost all sense of decency. You can tell yourself you're making decisions based on love of country, but what kind of country are you trying to save when we no longer look at things with a human eye and can only see things through a blue or red lens? People say they want the truth, but the only truth they will believe is the one they want to believe. These women have made believable statements. Roy Moore on the other hand has failed miserably in denying the allegations. His Hannity interview? Disaster. Utter disaster. "I don't remember if I dated teenager girls when I was thirty-two, but I always had the consent of the mother." What!??!? If that alone doesn't give you a moment of pause and reflection then you're making my case for me, so thank you.

So to all those who shout "God and Country!" while also professing their steadfast support for a man who may have been seeking out young girls, and using his power and position to get away with it, let me say this. God is not polishing his George Washington bust while whistling God Bless America every morning. I won't pretend to know the mind of God, but I'm confident in saying that. We are blessed to live in a country where we are free speak our minds, that's true. But somewhere along the way, we have slowly begun to lose our humanity. The "Conservative" Party used to stand on family values and a firm moral compass that directed their path in all things. Now? Well now it's bitterness that leads many of them. The other side got away with so many things for so long (and still does) that now they just look the other way and say, "Huh...well...your guy did xyz, remember? I don't care anymore."

That's what it has come to. I'm not wrong on this. These people digging in their heals to support Moore are doing it because this is just one more kick in the teeth they don't want to take. They want that senate seat, damn it, and the Dems are not going to take it from them.

And it doesn't even matter if these women are telling the truth.

And before anyone else says it, I'll save you the trouble. This is not a trial. This is an election. Moore is essentially applying for a job. And there is sufficient reason to suggest he is not fit for the position.

Yes, it would. Sexual assault is abhorrent and throwing in a cute picture mocking it is equally abhorrent. Again, this stupid thing a lot of people are doing by making sexual assault a party issue needs to go. I don't give a damn what political party they belong to. Trump, Moore, Franken, etc. are all human garbage and need to go.

Do you still believe all of these women coming forward are lying?

I don't believe I ever said they were not telling the truth. I said I smell a rat and the rat is Mitch McConnell. His fingerprints are all over this. I have no idea if Moore did what he is accused of. I have stated in the past that I am not a Moore supporter. But I do believe in fairness. McConnell's PAC spent 30 million dollars supporting Strange and attacking Moore. What did they get ? Nothing. Donors are not happy seeing their money wasted and Ole Mitch has to save some face. Regardless if he wins or loses Moore is toast. He should step aside and an aggressive write in campaign for Brooks or someone should be launched.

Washington is corrupt. We need 100% turnover of the elected members of Congress. We need term limits.

Also, I want to know who the offenders were that resulted in 17 million dollars in settlements being paid the past decade. We have a right to know since taxpayer money was used(which baffles my mind). The leadership that authorized and covered up the abuse should resign immediately. Drain the swamp!

If this is nothing more than a "democrap dirty trick", then you believe they are not telling the truth.

That's fair criticism. that was my first reaction and I still think the dems and Mitch are in this together to some degree. The dem playbook over the years has been to bring up some outlandish charge at the last minute and put a Republican on the defensive. I've seen it for decades. So, it is not a stretch to think, "here we go again".

Yes, Mitch McConnell is working to make sure a Democrat is elected to the Senate from the reddest state in the union.

Exactly. Even they know he's guilty or they certainly wouldn't be asking him to step aside so a Democrat can waltz in.
