CBS poll shows more Americans are becoming increasingly skeptical of the Russia/Mueller probe. Of course this is purely party politics with Republicans/some independents hardening their stance on the probe, while Dems continue to support it.

So, what constitutes as "cultural appropriation" anymore? Is it a term selectively applied to what I like to call outrage/victimization culture? A high school girl gets ripped apart by leftists for wearing a Chinese themed dress, but Rihanna and other celebs get praised for dressing up in Catholic culture. Why can people selectively apply rage and get attention for that? Why is it unacceptable for a girl to wear a dress respectfully to a prom, but it a-okay to lampoon an entire religion at a celebrity gala? I'm so over this double standard and hypocrisy....

The Vatican donated several dozen items for display at this gala and Father James Martin was a guest speaker.

Of course, the fact that Father Martin was there says all we need to know. He's a borderline heretic.

Not sure where you got that idea. Like I said to Evan, McCain was the problem with his campaign. He was a mean, nasty old curmudgeon and hardly bearable.
I disagree... if McCain had chosen Lieberman, I think more Independents and right leaning Dems would have voted that ticket and Obama may have never had a chair the Oval Office. Palin was all show and no substance and like Obama totally unqualified for the position and most objective thinking people could see that.

I'll never, ever, ever understand how people used the unqualified excuse for Palin as the reason not to vote for McCain, then voted for Obama. I'd rather have an unqualfied VP than an unqualified POTUS.

The Russian oligarch-linked firm that paid Michael Cohen, was also represented by another Trump personal lawyer: Marc Kasowitz https://t.co/RRUmQ42NGZ

Coincidence #1745. How many coincidences does it take before people start to believe there is something to this Russia mess?

I wasn't thrilled with McCain, and when he chose Palin, I almost chose not to vote, but held my nose and voted for him anyway. I guess the people who voted for Obama because of Palin did so because they thought since McCain was in his early 70's, he might not live through his term and the thought of President Palin concerned them more than the thought of President Obama.

That and for me, it showed that McCain may not be good at selecting people to perform important jobs, which is a very necessary skill for a president.

so the solution was to vote for the left wing extremist?

Not voting, I could understand. Writing in, I could understand. But not voting for the kook veep that *might* be POTUS and instead voting for the kook that was going to be POTUS if his ticket won is just something I could never wrap my mind around.

I dont see obama as an extremist. I saw him as a reasonable option that better knew how to fill important jobs. Bernie is an extremist.

I actually liked both candidates.

Knew how to fill important jobs? You’ve got to be kidding me.

Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder. Loretta “Clear Hillary on the Tarmac” Lynch. Hillary “What difference does it make about 4 dead Americans” Clinton. John “Let’s cater to terrorists” Kerry. I could go on and on.

In trying to expose Trump’s corruption, they continue to expose their own. Sounds like collusion alright...

This is not news. It was widely reported at the time that Comey's testimony would be made in consultation with Mueller so as not to impact his ongoing investigation.

I don't see how Comey could've even testified without discussing the scope of his comments wirh Mueller first.

But based on their job picks in 2007-8 can you say that?

Leave it to Trump to pick someone like this. He also has referred to the Catholic Church as an "instrument of Satan."

Yes, sounds like a wonderful man to me.

I just don't know what to believe anymore.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has withstood relentless political attacks, many distorting his record of distinguished government service.

But there’s one episode even Mueller’s former law enforcement comrades — and independent ethicists — acknowledge raises legitimate legal issues and a possible conflict of interest in his overseeing the Russia election probe.

In 2009, when Mueller ran the FBI, the bureau asked Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska to spend millions of his own dollars funding an FBI-supervised operation to rescue a retired FBI agent, Robert Levinson, captured in Iran while working for the CIA in 2007.
