That storm out to the west-southwest of Hillsboro, MO is by far the most impressive cell of the day so far. It's currently in a pretty remote area out to the east of I-44 and moving at 50 MPH, so going to be a tough chase.

Looks like the Hillsboro, MO storm is still trying to mature. The meso is kind of chaotic and not very clear/solid. Time will tell if it is able to actually plant itself...

Was there a cap at 50,000 feet? Because none of the cells could make it past that height for the longest time, but now they are. Several are pushing 60k ft now.

Still not seeing much that really jumps out at me. Hillsboro is way too close to that line of storms IMO.

Many of these individual storms in eastern Missouri and Illinois are starting to congeal into a QLCS.

Really starting to feel like the cap might win out. Almost certainly going to have a few tornadoes, maybe a few big ones but the ceiling seems to be out of reach at this point.
