Storms grew upscale too quickly. Mesoscale interaction tornadoes could’ve occurred but fortunately not this time. Why did the North TX threat fail to verify?
Was this relatively early on in the path? Maybe that’s why it isn’t as extreme.Definitely shocked by the lack of violent contextuals, the vegetation in this shot practically looks untouched. Definitely one of those wedges that lacked a violent core, or substantial meso vortices, which is what does the extreme damage in all violent wedge tornadoes. The extreme TVS isn’t what makes this confusing for me, it’s the extreme CC drop that the radar showed, what in the world was that radar picking up? Dirt?
