Severe Weather Threat May 17-19, 2025

If folks would stop posting “sheesh”, “OMG”, “what did I miss”, “wow”. In replying to other posts or images then maybe we would consider it.
Wouldn’t a warning to those posters when they do that suffice instead of a blanket setting on everyone? I agree those posts are annoying, but at the same time, there’s hardly any moderator presence here, outside of Michelle, 99% of the time.

The site was literally half-usable for a week and multiple people tagged mods and it was crickets. I understand moderation is a volunteer job, and it’s appreciated, but with the sites increased traffic it may be time to try and find more.

It looks like most of it is low level clouds, likely in response to the rapid temperature and moisture increases. I would imagine it would start to burn off as we get closer and closer to mid-day

edit: the lighter blue/cyan colors are low level clouds crawling northward and the salmon/orange colors are more high level clouds coming from the SW.

Here..so why you repeating @Muwx?

Plains Chasers are going to be apocalyptic if today or tomorrow’s events don’t work out lol
I know that the term you meant is "apoplectic" but given how WXTwatter acts these days, "apocalyptic" fits just as well anyways!:D
