Severe Threat May 15-16, 2025

While this storm was a pain in the rear end to track here in northern IL/IN, this is truly one of the most unique storm systems I believe in quite some time, due to how far this line of storms extends. Truly incredible indeed.
I took this screenshot after a pretty notable tornado bu$t last year. Was the biggest QLCS I had ever seen.

Good chance tomorrow is a 500+ severe report day IMO given the mix of modes, very strong deep layer shear, and high instability over a large region. All three hazards could have significant events too.

Tornado threat will be contingent on the degree of veering of the surface winds. Should they stay anything close to southerly, it could be very nasty in that department.
