Archive March 18-20th, 2018 Severe Weather

The Russellville storm is heading for Landersville and Moulton. If anyone reading this lives in that area, I'd recommend immediately heading for your safe shelter!

It is unbelievable that it looks like no storms are going to from about Bham to the South and West. HRRR picked that up awhile back and isn't letting go. The ARCC slug of dry air is killing stuff.
 
If this storm continues on its same path, it will go straight through Lawrence county and right into Morgan County with Decatur and Hartselle in its cross hairs.
 
Circulation tightening back up just in time for Moulton.
 
NOAA's plane flew all around the Russellville storm. They had to have picked up a lot of valuable data from that storm.
 
Feels drier outside, just a typical mild breezy spring day. Really wondering if the dry air intrusion is going to keep things controlled here. Even with the STP core heading this way, things look relatively benign so far. So far, being the key.
