We live in Mobile (east of 65). I've been watching this storm since it's formation. I've seen all of the models that have continued to shift west. I'm supposed to have minor surgery this coming Wednesday. I've also got my best friend and her husband planning to come to Gulf Shores on Sunday. She's my major concern. What should I suggest to her?
How come it's already pretty windy in Atlanta? We are getting gust close to 30 mph already.
And Contraflow on I-16 has already ended because of the western track shift from Irma.FWIW, I-16 out of Savannah has begun contraflow operations. Ends at Dublin, just east of Macon.
Anyone ever see anything like this before? From Long Island, Bahamas
Never seen this beforeYes ... I saw it happen to Mobile Bay, during .....I believe, Hurricane George. I could be wrong on the storm, but certainly saw it with my own eyes.
It took a couple of days, but the water all returned.
