Why would I be concerned about someone who works for me, in a building I paid, being recorded talking about things that greatly impact me that they tried to hide?
Did you have a problem with the DNC hacking? Why was that collected and released in an acceptable fashion but not this recording?

Comey was asked if the DOJ or AG had pressured him. Trump was never mentioned. Post the transcript, Matt. Although you may be desperate to make this go away lets keep our wits about us. The contention of the article and your claim is 100% false.

What a shock that Fake News sites run for profit by tricking Trump supporters to click is running this story as a "secret tape DESTROYS Comey." I guess CSPAN, CNN, FoxNews, and all the major networks didn't cover Comey's testimony. How many Trump supporters will believe there was a secret tape by this afternoon?
I saw it on another news aggregate site and it went there. I will verify the account of events.

This is completely false. Sean Hannity has screamed about it several nights in a row even though it is absolutely false.
I guess you missed where the "source" recanted and said FoxNews told him to say all those things? Must have also missed where Seth Rich's family asked FoxNews and Fox DC to issue a retraction as they said their reporting is false, and there is a special place in hell for people using their son's death.

This is *exactly* what I've been thinking since this morning. The posting of obviously fake or untrue sources, the "but, but, but a Democrat did something that was 1% similar so what's the issue," the absolute refusal to criticize their chosen candidate/person for any reason.
I have a lot of respect for Matt, and I consider him a friend. I'm very disappointed by this turn of events because I certainly expected him to at least be able to critique Trump's mistakes and discuss them fairly.
To me, it isn't about being right or wrong. It's about being honest and fair about both sides of an issue even if you have strong opinions and beliefs. It is about not abandoning the use of evidence and facts, and instead replacing them with fallacies... particularly ad-hominem attacks.
I'm not saying this about Matt. This is something that seems to be going on with a substantial portion of Trump supporters. As this AP article lays out, s common reaction among Trump supporters is to not believe negative stories about Trump because they don't WANT to believe them! Or, immediately saying: "yeah, but Hillary would have been worse." Or, blind loyalty to the point of saying Trump would have to gas Americans like Nazzis during the Holocaust for me to stop backing him.

Ironically, these same people couldn't believe the blind loyalty of black voters to Obama. They guffawed at the gullibility of the "Obama gonna pay for my gas lady," but their own current logic is nearly identical if not even more flawed.
I'm disappointed with anyone that believes the solution to a fractured and partisanly divided Republic is more partisanship and an increase in animosity.
Evan, we are losing the country. I cannot understand how that is not obvious to you. Trump is far, far from perfect. Of this I am patently aware. We are being ruled by unelected judges, bureaucrats, establishment hacks from both parties that do not give a rats money maker that we are 20 trillion in debt. Or that more than half the country is on some type of assistance. Or that we are being invaded by illegal immigrants, many that wish to harm us. It's unsustainable. We are slowly, but surely moving to a Western European like socialist state. I think that is not where we want or need to go. There was no other candidate with the exception of Cruz that had a chance at reversing course. And you and others want to just sit idly by and watch it happen. I am more saddened that you as a so called conservative cannot comprehend what is taking place all around you. It boggles my mind.
Hillary Clinton should be rotting in jail right now. So should Obama. I think it will come out that Obama spied on his political opponents for political purposes. Susan Rice, Ben Rhodes, and many other of his pukes should be in jail too. But they are free as a bird because they are part of the protected "ruling" class. Our political system is corrupt to the core.
