So Trump has refused to throw out the first pitch at the season opener for the Nationals. This is an American tradition that goes back 100 years. I'm guessing his fat, old, not athletic throwing style would make Obama's pitching performance look like Nolan Ryan

Let's not use such direct insults like this please. I'm sure posting fake news and it being refuted is enough of an embarrassment.

Any Flynn opinions? I was sure fascinated at the immunity request. I don't think he has anything incriminating since it was made so publicly but I guess we'll see.

LOL... getting personal Matt cause I threw shade at your boy? How small you you think I am? He should be embarrassed if he couldn't beat me. He plays all the time. I'm retired and this weekend will be the first time I've played. I guess when you treat POTUS as a part-time job, you can justify playing golf 13 times in the last 2 months

Ladies and Gents,
I don't care you debating public figures and such but you WILL NOT call each other names or be disrespectful to each other. Fair enough?
Thanks,
Wes

Trump threatened Rep Sanford of SC that he would finance a challenger to run against him in the next election if he didn't vote for his pitiful health care bill. Sanford is a staunch conservative Tea Partyer and a member of the ultra conservative House Freedom Caucus. Wondering what the Trump supporters on here think about that?

Trump once again proves his position as POTUS is all about himself and not the American people. In a media conference called to sign EOs on trade and creating jobs for American workers, he walks out without signing afraid someone in the press will ask him about Russia. I feel sorry for Pence having to go around and trying to fix his messes. Pence tries to get him to come back in and sign and he waves him off. Embarrassing

The whole Russia line is B.S. There is zero evidence to suggest Trump's campaign colluded with the Ruskies. The media knows this but do not care. It is the narrative and they are going to push it because that is what the dems want. Perhaps Trump is tiring of the stupid questions. This Russia crap, I believe is going to blow up in the dems faces.

I think there is plenty of evidence to suggest that Manafort, Stone, Page and others were playing a game of wink-wink nod-nod with the Russian government and/or intelligence agencies (through cutouts or via other means). That doesn't mean Trump knew or that if he did he realized the gravity of what was occurring. He's an immoral self-obsessed man that has never had to play by the rules, and anytime he's run afoul of laws he has simply received a slap on the wrist. I think it is fair to state that his campaign manager or even consultants being firmly linked wouldn't necessarily cause the downfall of Trump. The question is whether or not he knew and actively encouraged what was going on with a bit of "don't tell me too much" so he could maintain plausible deniability. I've never thought of Trump as a dumb individual. Full of character flaws and a very low emotional IQ, but he isn't an idiot.

Do I believe that there was a concrete plan to trade Russian fake-mews and leaks for sanctions lifting? Possibly. If so, it was done in a way that it won't be directly uncovered unless Manafort, Stone, etc talk. I seriously doubt even Flynn was looped in enough to have the entire play visible to him. There's no reason anyone should oppose an independent investigation. Nunes' tricks and games did more to hurt Trump and a potential House investigation than almost anything else.

On the flip-side, there is a potential story about how the Obama admin unmasked USCs in intel reports and elsewhere, but they are not amateurs and they knew they were playing a high-stakes game. I'd be shocked if there is anything criminal there -- it may not smell great (especially with Susan Rice's involvement), but this seems to be another distraction being deployed to trade on animus against Obama and his admin. If either party was truly serious about getting to the bottom of it all they'd agree to hand-off an investigation to an independent team of investigators , and they'd look both at the Trump Russia stuff and anything that the Obama admin did that crossed the line. It would be a fairly simple compromise, but both camps are dug in pretty solidly. Democrats see the "Obama wire-tapped" me as the WH just flinging stuff to the wall and hoping it will stick whereas Republicans aren't about to fully bail on Trump until they can get tax reform done and something workable done on ACA to make it through the mid-terms. What a shocker -- politicians are putting politics first.

Dems and the media are pushing this Russia crap to shield Hillary and her and the party's ineptitude. Repeat a lie often enough and people begin to accept it as truth. I would bet my mortgage that the Obama administration surveilled Trump and his campaign and did so for political purposes. Susan Rice is deep, deep in this mess or so it appears. This will not go away any time soon.

Can we take a break from the giant stupidfest that is our current american political system? Please? It's been 7 months since the media first talked about russia in the election, and what have they come up with? nothing. Put up or shut up, but more importantly, they're blowing their own credibility. Same thing goes to the trump team and those who said Obama's team tapped him; the original evidence proposed was...other media reports, from the same leftist sites you love to tout as unreliable.

The left in this country has been slamming people on the right for years, calling people racist, misogynist, whatever. Now, the right has started fighting back, and so now everybody is in this giant screaming match and nobody's listening to one another. To be honest, I have one question.

Can everybody stop lying and insulting people for 30 seconds?

I'm going to give Trump some credit for correcting one of his previous mistakes. He's removed Bannon from the NSC and restored the Chair of the Joint Chiefs

Some of the video I've seen from the sarin gas attack in Syria has shaken me to my core. Gosh, how can you do that to people...including young children?

Because Assad is pure evil. And, Iran and Russia willingly look the other way or support this kind of barbaric terrorism.

Even Trump is now seeing how suddenly the Presidency can change your entire worldview, and impose a sudden and great sense of responsibility that overwhelms any previously stated belief or goal.

Obamacare didn't undermine Obama's second term. Neither did birthers, scandal, or a very poor relationship with the GOP. What destroyed Obama was failing to act in a time of great moral injustice -- idly standing by and vacillating over his own red-line.

I pray that Trump doesn't make the same mistake. He's yet to show much moral courage or understanding of the gravity of his new job. He was one of loudest voices urging Obama to embrace cowardice, and that the US should shirk its moral obligations. Perhaps all this changes with Syria. Assad must go - - and he must go soon. Who cares if Russia or Iran objects? Since when did the USA give a damn about their opinions or policy goals?
